Capstone Fair!!

Posters on the wall

And here it is: the culmination of my project! For the presentation, I hung my six posters on the wall and set up my blog on my laptop, with the website displayed on a monitor and around 50 handouts available for visitors. I also tried to create a pleasant atmosphere by opening a bag of lavender to make the table smell nice, and used flower vines to cover the mess of cords. For some added flair, I hung a crane garland, a Chinese fan, and a fake cherry blossom vine (inside a Mexican Coca-Cola bottle, adding a fun, modern twist, just like my project!).

My elevator pitch went something like this: "Cultural Cravings focuses on educating my audience about food and wellness in relation to culture. I chose six different Asian countries and selected a culturally significant ingredient for each. For each, I researched the benefits, common uses, and cultural significance, then designed infographic posters with a modern twist. There's also an accompanying website with more detailed information about the ingredients, design process, and my journey. Personally, this project has been a transition from traditional art, since I've been oil painting for years, to digital art, so here’s my take on it!"
