Dr. Lu Encourages Me to Draw

Image
Today, Dr. Lu let me out of class early. She encouraged me to draw! :) calamansi :P It’s not every day that you get the chance to step away from the usual routine and just let your creativity flow. Sometimes, taking a break to engage in something creative is exactly what you need to recharge and approach projects with fresh energy. I’m really grateful for the reminder to make time for creativity, especially during the busy process of working on Cultural Cravings. Looking forward to more moments like this! Thanks Dr. Lu!

Tweaking My Project!

I’ve decided to change the direction of Cultural Cravings. After a recent exercise in HDCC209, I realized that the core values of my project, education about food and wellness, are still exactly what I want to focus on. However, I’m shifting away from XR to make it more accessible. Right now, XR isn’t super accessible to everyone, though it’s definitely becoming more common. Instead, I’m going to create infographic posters that people can easily have, maybe even as kitchen decor! These posters will feature cultural ingredients, their origins, health benefits, and more. As I work on these, I want to think about interior decor: readability, colors that fit with kitchen spaces, and how to capture the authenticity of the ingredients and culture in the design.
